chat reporting definitely needs to exist but its clearly not ready in its current place. there are all ready three chat reporting mods that mess with it and can abuse it. 1 2 3. so heres my suggestion: make it like the recent combat updates but a lot more frequent. make it so that every week or two theres a chat reporting snapshot where players can test and report bugs and exploits with it so it can be the best system it possibly can. this makes players more comfortable with it, fixes bugs, and just overall makes it better if they listen to constructive feedback. once its in a good state they will just release it in whatever the next version is, whether that be 1.20, 1.20.1 or even 1.21.
