You can try this yourself and find out :)
Do you have a Samsung laptop? Then grab SSDT-OSYS, SSDT-GOST, SSDT-H_EC from my repo. I had to spoof the OS as Windows 10, and give H_EC device where PWRB and LID0 device is controlled a _PRW method. Then I associated it with _L10 GPE since that notifies LID0 and PWRB change to the OS.
I had some distortion on my internal speakers when volume maxed up. So I dumped my codec on Linux, and used PinConfigurator to get sanitized ConfigData and WakeConfigData. Then I replaced the original data for the layout id I was using in AppleALC/Resources/PinConfigs.kext/Contents/Info.plist with the one I got from PinConfigurator and built AppleALC.kext myself. Now distortion is gone!
You can follow this guide to do it yourself. It might look very complicated, but all you need to read from this guide is generating PinConfig and putting that into the AppleALC source code. That part is half automated by the PinConfigurator so it shouldn't take much time to do it.
