  • contr

  • I've been fiddling with some ideas of a secure by default wrapper around Podman to solve this issue: https://github.com/jntesteves/contr — the idea is to run programs inside a container that only has access to $PWD. Any other access must be given explicitly. Full $HOME access is forbidden. I'm using it, it's pretty handy, but I have never advertised it because I'm not satisfied with permissions management yet.

  • That is pretty uncommon (Hell, dare I say, impossible). You should report this up, because I'm looking right now at the build file for BlackBox (on Flathub) and it uses the GNOME runtime 42, which does contains GTK4.

  • This is a great idea! After you say it, it becomes one of those things that makes us think, "how the hell did I make it this far without it!". I need it, now! I've just submitted a feature request: https://github.com/fedora-silverblue/issue-tracker/issues/309
