  • Secondly, I would definitely suggest documenting the answers you get to those questions. Whether that be the answer verbatim in a text document, recording the locations of specific knowledge documentation you're pointed to, or some other form of knowledge map. This is a strategy I use daily and it basically boils down to building my own personal wiki. If you have the time and resources, it might even be beneficial to build yourself something like a Bookstack wiki on a Raspberry Pi or spare PC/Laptop. Document, organize, and document more. This is what I run our team's wiki on and it's really simple to get started with. If your team uses OneNote, you can create your own notebook and copy the pages your teammates have into that notebook. This allows you to make your own annotations on the pages as needed, which is super helpful. Same goes for if your team has its own shared OneNote.

  • awesome-selfhosted

A list of Free Software network services and web applications which can be hosted on your own servers

  • If Bookstack ends up being something you'd rather not get into, there are a number of others I've used in the past or looked into that might be better solutions. If you haven't already, I'd recommend checking out the awesome-selfhosted github repo. Tons of great ideas in there for fun at-home projects. Bonus being that you can eventually build out a small home lab to mess around in and sharpen your skills. I saw elsewhere you're likely aiming for something more closely aligned to your CS degree? There's good material in there for that as well.
