Our great sponsors
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • nixos-config

Nix configuration for macOS / NixOS with starter templates, step-by-step guides, and more ✨ (by dustinlyons)

  • I would love any feedback or thoughts on the approach! Link to the repo: https://github.com/dustinlyons/nixos-config

  • impermanence

Modules to help you handle persistent state on systems with ephemeral root storage [maintainer=@talyz]

  • Your thoughts on state make me think you might find https://grahamc.com/blog/erase-your-darlings and https://github.com/nix-community/impermanence interesting, if you haven't already encountered or been influenced by them.

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.

  • org-roam

    Rudimentary Roam replica with Org-mode

  • My sessions end up being a combination of my browser, terminal, and Emacs w/ org-roam. All are easily transfered between Mac and NixOS. I guess if I used a lot of fancy Mac apps I wouldn't be able to replicate it well on my desktop, so I tend to use my Macbook like a Linux computer. Natively compiled Emacs is stupid fast on M1, btw.

  • homebridge

    HomeKit support for the impatient.

  • I also do a lot with Apple Home which I expose over to Nix via homebridge.
