  • I believe a lightweight/modular framework can give you best of both worlds. With opinionated components that help you get moving fast, but the flexibility to take what you need and easily fit it into your requirements. This is what I'm applying to the framework I'm building (https://saas-ui.dev). It gives you a large set of React components (build on top of Chakra UI), designed for SaaS apps. It comes with an example Next.js app and a mocked (MSW) graphql api, but ultimately leaves the backend implementation to yourself.
