Does anyone know of a good tutorial on how to make your custom assets colorable? I can't find a good one for the life of me.

  • You need to edit the Data/default.dungeondraft_tags file before compiling, and that bit is super tedious. You'll want to use 8-bitz tools, otherwise one misplaced comma will make your pack fail to load.

  • With those tools you can create new tags (such as 'colorable') and choose which objects get which tags. It's all done outside of DD before you compile. Unfortunately, this is all a bit much to fit into a Reddit comment, but once you get used to 8-bitz stuff, it gets way easier. 8-bitz custom tag tool is more focused and is just for editing tags, while the one I linked above can compile/decompile packs and do a bunch of other stuff.
