How do I host the website I made?

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/webdev

Our great sponsors
  • SurveyJS - Open-Source JSON Form Builder to Create Dynamic Forms Right in Your App
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • action-doctl

GitHub Actions for DigitalOcean - doctl

  • I use DigitalOcean. The cheapest droplet (server) is around $5/mo, and was easily able to handle 100 concurrent connections to a WordPress site I have running on it.

  • vercel

    Develop. Preview. Ship.

  • If you only rarely update the database (or are willing to write some simple scripts or use CI/CD) you could also statically generate all pages and host the website on Netlify or Vercel

  • SurveyJS

Open-Source JSON Form Builder to Create Dynamic Forms Right in Your App. With SurveyJS form UI libraries, you can build and style forms in a fully-integrated drag & drop form builder, render them in your JS app, and store form submission data in any backend, inc. PHP, ASP.NET Core, and Node.js.
