Actually to follow up I’ve found there are instructions for building the app from the source code on github. Have a look at the ‘Building’ subheading in this repository’s README.md (scroll down upon opening the site): https://github.com/BananoCoin/kalium_wallet_flutter
It’s a desktop wallet (for computers and laptops) called dagchat. It is a first of its kind - it comes with a system for sending messages/memos with your banano! I made a post about it a little while back so check that out on my profile - also here’s a link to more up-to-date information (and images) on the github page.
Great question! I made a wallet, https://thebananostand.com/, and the answer is no. My code is open-source on github but that doesn't guarantee anything; the web-app and source-code are not necessarily the same as I (and other web-based wallet owners) can deploy slightly modified (and possibly malicious) versions at will. I like banano & won't do that, but if you really want a trustless interaction, I strongly recommend getting a hardware wallet for more hefty holdings.
