vimspector is the one I'm thinking of, but there are several that pop up with a quick google search. Personally I am very comfortable with console gdb, but I do use neovim with language server plugins for all the languages I work in, alongside trouble for error integration. If you can get over the hump of figuring out the config files vim can be as close to your ideal IDE as you want it to be
