  • oh, yeah, though at this point rather than diving into learning every bit of kicad, i'd probably just recreate the layout to your specifications in ergogen (ergogen.xyz). then all you have to do in kicad is route the board (or run an autorouter like freerouting), add graphics to the silkscreen layer if desired, and generate gerbers. i've done a little bit of just editing kicad projects from other people's boards, and it's a big big pain, especially if you're moving keys around and want to get them all aligned just right (or at least it was for me)
