However, it can't be used with Next. But there's now ContentLayer which works really well but is very alpha (docs aren't even finished yet). When I implemented it for my site, I used Lee Robinsons (head of developer relations at Vercel, the folks who make Next) site leerob.io which is entirely open sourced and a great example.

If you've ever tried Nuxt (Next for Vue), they have a great solution to this.
