  • You see that design choice a lot on the PedalPCB pcbs for example but there might be some logic to it : if you plan on selling a blank PCB for peoples to assemble, this type of layout does make it a bit easier and more logic to assemble. On the other hand, if you plan to make the best version of a circuit for yourself or to sell in a finished product, i would prefer the approach i just described. It looks like you're using EAGLE ? If you want some example you can take a look at this old repo. Take a look at the shredmaster board especially, from what i remember it was a pretty dense PCB and i did the layout following that logic.
