usefulmods
Discontinued Just a list of useful mods [Moved to: https://github.com/TheUsefulLists/UsefulMods] (by NordicGamerFE)
Refer to this list for a bunch of optimization mods. I recommend using the fabric mods/mod loader since they are more lightweight. Unfortunately, optifine is incompatible with fabric, but you can use caffinemc mods (sodium, lithium, phosphor) + other mods to bring over some of optifine's features (like okzoomer). If you would like to use shaders, use iris shaders (it isn't always perfect and may not work with all shaderpacks, but it's a solid replacement).
