Miscellany
Imagine working weekends and nights on a single side project for 6 years, with strangers having access to submit ideas/bugs/code/thoughts to your project (with growing frequency). The social/management/issue-handling aspects grow much bigger than expected and code modernisation/pattern-idealism falls to a lower priority. That's not to say I don't try to keep the code-base modern/maintained but I feel that some parts can reflect my changes in ideas/patters/experience over the last 6 years. Even though GitHub states "145 contributors", that's not 145 people helping at all times, the contributors graph gives a better idea of that (Excluding those who provide translations in the last couple of years).
