    • Hi ninia963. The BigSur installation process requires at least three reboots before showing up the final screen. And the entire process requires almost an hour to be finalized. Keep in mind your iMac is 14 years old and doesn't run like an M1. So, do you still have the USB boot key with OLCP you used at the first step? . A long run solution (without another Mac) would be to generate an OCLP USB boot disk using a Catalina Virtual Machine in VMware (follow this well done tutorial : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YhkwbJNuRU ) and don't forget the post installation stuff https://github.com/dortania/macOS-VMware-Guide/blob/master/post-installation-tweaks.md (otherwise, OpenCore Legacy patacher won't run.
