A terminal built on web technologies

  • Zsh is actually the default shell in MacOS now, for what its worth. Iterm2 has features regarding session management via profiles, tabs for multiple sessions, etc. The default terminal in MacOS is just fine, but if you find yourself using the terminal every day, iTerm2 is definitely a step up. There are other Terminals though such as Hyper: https://hyper.is/ which has the hilarious and amazing HyperPower plugin: https://hyper.is/store/hyperpower.
