  FizzBuzz Enterprise Edition is a no-nonsense implementation of FizzBuzz made by serious businessmen for serious business purposes.

  

The core systems running on the mainframes do, they run COBOL. That is not “most” by any stretch. I would say 99% of everything is written in Java, but really bad Java with horrible architecture choices (both between services and within services). A large amount of functionality is handled by ancient Java monoliths, being decomposed into microservices. In all cases, the Java is very “enterprise”-y — let’s just say that I took a look at FizzBuzz Enterprise Edition and felt right at home. That project is supposed to be satire, but we do 99% of the stuff, except the stupid things it does like having objects for basic arithmetic operations.
