I'd been considering using something like jsMIME in a separate process to get MIME parsing in a Django app but, if this has that attitude toward security, then I'd need to run it in a separate process anyway to sandbox it.

I'm similarly iffy on using a parser for something as web-exposed as e-mail which uses unsafe for a performance boost without a thumbs-up from someone like /u/Shnatsel and the Safety Dance.
