You could try using `typescript@next` for the TSServer of your workspace, although I've had mixed results. I believe [this is the tracking issue.](https://github.com/microsoft/TypeScript/issues/44851)
And you can use typescript with the native notebook debugging, it has lots of bugs right now but will be the best usage of jupyter-notebook. (see: https://github.com/yunabe/tslab)
