I see you’re using 2 modules for image-caching, me and my colleagues have created a file system remote image caching module, in our cases react-native-fast-image was killing the device memory so we got inspiration from other modules and created: https://github.com/georstat/react-native-image-cache . It uses react-native-file-access witch is by far more stable than react-native-fs that you’re using and it supports almost the same stuff.
unfortunately it’s not compatible with expo. You could try out William’s module: https://github.com/wcandillon/react-native-expo-image-cache
