Now, there is a new tool from the same developer(s) called Portmaster that does this for these devices, and can run the latest version of the community updates to the game, if you provide it with an up-to-date Android APK for the port to use as game data, though I haven’t tried it yet, as Portmaster is not yet working on my chosen custom firmware, as far as I know.
There is a port of AM2R available on the Anberbic RG351 P, M, and MP series of handhelds. Performance varies in my experience, and there can be some slow-down with the game on this chipset. May require custom firmware (I booted the stock firmware zero times before switching to a custom firmware). I used a tool called Anberports to get AM2R 1.1 installed and running at the time.
Yes! Turns out, we can make them for ourselves, using the AM2RLauncher.
The Launcher will then download and apply the latest community updates for you. You can then use the Launcher to play the updated game, apply mods like Multitroid, AND… Create your own updated APK!
I know that the community updates have fixed a lot of bugs and introduced some cool features and enhancements that you can read about elsewhere on this sub and on their Github and that the work is ongoing. But honestly, I had no issues when I played thru v1.1 on PC initially.
