I've encountered the same certificate has expired issue. You can solve it by manually adding the new ISRG Root X1 by LetsEncrypt, which is the one the Sponsorblock API needs.

This is an ffmpeg issue. See this issue. Due to how common this issue is, I also provide releases for a patched version of ffmpeg here with which this will not happen. Ofc, selecting mp4 formats also work since the issue exists only for vp9
