That's a good idea to save space in your stash. I'm surprised though more people playing D2R aren't talking about using GoMule to basically have infinite storage space. To my knowledge, it should work with Diablo 2 Resurrected just fine and allow you not to waste time upgrading runes and spend more time farming for high runes (and just leaving lower runes than probably a Lem rune on the ground.)
