  • Sure, but I took numbers from those 13 US places to extrapolate to the US as a whole (assuming the 13 fairly diverse places are somewhat representative). E.g., from April 4th-June 19th in those places there were 428/(5126 + 428) ≈ 8% of deaths were fully-vaccinated before June 19th. So then I used this NY Times collected data set, found total COVID deaths on April 3rd, 2021 (just before start) was 554324 and June 19th was 601340 (so deaths in the "pre-majority delta" period was 47,016) and I calculated 428/5126 * 47016 ≈ 3623 which was reported as "around 3,600" (as keeping more than two significant digits would be way too precise for this kind of generalization).
