During my time with Divi, I've become familiar with the WP template structure, made my own child themes custom post types, taxonomies and plugins and feel like I can call myself a front-end developer/designer. I can get around with CSS, PHP and JS fine. I worked with Divi for over 5 years now but I think it has become too bloated lately. All of my clients websites have the classic editor enabled, but I'm starting to see the potential of Gutenberg and made some pages with it. Now I'm looking for a basic starting theme to get familiar with Gutenberg but I'm a bit lost. I've read about Sage, but it overwhelms me with terms like composer, yarn, blade and SASS. Is it just better to make a child theme for Twenty Twenty-One and go from there?
