What is the best way to manage bookmarks per project

I use https://github.com/mhinz/vim-startify to save splits and tabs per project. And then keep all I currently need open in those splits and tabs.

To avoid having too many things open at a time: - Have a convenient and fast way to navigate to different files of a project. I use https://github.com/junegunn/fzf.vim and https://github.com/tpope/vim-projectionist, for example. - Avoid using open files as reminders to do something later. Have a separate system for that.
