  • I find it a easiest to adapt a theme rather than create one. For me, Understrap suits my purposes. It's open source, based on Bootstrap, and pretty bare bones. https://understrap.com/ As to time required, that's hard to say. Probably about 40 hours is a good start. I did it in spare moments over a period of time which isn't the best way.
