⚡️ Vite.js in Ruby, bringing joy to your JavaScript experience

I was looking at vite-rails yesterday and it seemed like another great alternative. Does anyone have an opinion on it?

  • vite

Next generation frontend tooling. It's fast!

Yeah, Hotwire works out of the box (both Turbo and Stimulus). I don't work on anything that has to support IE11 anymore (thankfully), so I can't speak to how well Vite handles that, but Google surfaces an official plugin that looks like it handles legacy browsers: https://github.com/vitejs/vite/tree/main/packages/plugin-legacy.

  • Appwrite

Appwrite - The Open Source Firebase alternative introduces iOS support . Appwrite is an open source backend server that helps you build native iOS applications much faster with realtime APIs for authentication, databases, files storage, cloud functions and much more!
