⚡️ Vite.js in Ruby, bringing joy to your JavaScript experience

  • I was looking at vite-rails yesterday and it seemed like another great alternative. Does anyone have an opinion on it?

  • vite

Next generation frontend tooling. It's fast!

  • Yeah, Hotwire works out of the box (both Turbo and Stimulus). I don't work on anything that has to support IE11 anymore (thankfully), so I can't speak to how well Vite handles that, but Google surfaces an official plugin that looks like it handles legacy browsers: https://github.com/vitejs/vite/tree/main/packages/plugin-legacy.

  • SurveyJS

Open-Source JSON Form Builder to Create Dynamic Forms Right in Your App. With SurveyJS form UI libraries, you can build and style forms in a fully-integrated drag & drop form builder, render them in your JS app, and store form submission data in any backend, inc. PHP, ASP.NET Core, and Node.js.
