There are other subreddits related to privacy as well. Last year, I switched from gmail to protonmail, chrome to Firefox, and started using a VPN. Your use cases and threat model/level (are you a journalist looking to keep sources safe, an activist living under an oppressive dictatorship, etc) will inform your approach. Yes, we all have factors that should make us concerned about our data privacy, but what should you specifically be worried about?
