RStudio always had some weird bugs and slowdowns. For example, several releases ago, the file chooser dialog suddenly became painfully slow. Right now I see some weird hangs whenever I type an OpenMP pragma in Rcpp code. Annoying, but Rstudio is still useful enough for daily work for me.
