  • vim-noctu

A Vim color scheme for 16-color terminals

  • I already know about noctu and dim, but they are still too busy for my taste and use weirdly chosen colors. Are there any more?

  • vim-dim

Dim (/dɪm/; a contraction of Default IMproved) is a clone of Vim’s default colorscheme, with some improvements.

  • nvim-base16.lua

Programmatic lua library for setting base16 themes in Neovim.

  • IIRC there's already been posts about this, the first I've found is nvim-base16.lua. Also, I've heard that TJ did colorbuddy (or a name like this) to help make colorscheme, so TJ's tool and sites of this kind could help making your own one I think

  • wal.vim

🎨 A vim colorscheme for use with wal

  • base16-nvim

Neovim plugin for building a sync base16 colorscheme. Includes support for Treesitter and LSP highlight groups.

  • I was looking for the same, and after a bit of trail and error I ended up with this: https://github.com/RRethy/nvim-base16

  • base16

Not a theme, but a framework

  • base16 from https://github.com/chriskempson/base16 just means 16 different colors which form the base of your colorscheme. This is different from 16-bit colors, this is also different from the 16 colors that terminals will let you set which are just 16 colors that are commonly used by programs and the shell.

NOTE: The number of mentions on this list indicates mentions on common posts plus user suggested alternatives. Hence, a higher number means a more popular project.
