  • List-of-Dirty-Naughty-Obscene-and-Otherwise-Bad-Words

List of Dirty, Naughty, Obscene, and Otherwise Bad Words

  • Depending on your filter, you might be able to just use https://github.com/LDNOOBW/List-of-Dirty-Naughty-Obscene-and-Otherwise-Bad-Words and not associate with yourself

  • git-crypt

    Transparent file encryption in git

  • Alongside the other good suggestions here, I'd recommend using a tool like git-crypt that can encrypt the files in the repo to prevent the automatic scraping or casual discovery that you're worried about.

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.

  • google-profanity-words

Full list of bad words and top swear words banned by Google.

  • I don't see how using a library would result in any functional difference from what you are already doing (presumably having some variable/text file that represents a list of words). This library for example literally just returns a list of words considered profanity by Google, and can be used in full isolation from the filter implementation.

NOTE: The number of mentions on this list indicates mentions on common posts plus user suggested alternatives. Hence, a higher number means a more popular project.
