  • Control flow is very similar to C. Memory allocation might not be as explicit as calling malloc but it's definitely clear where memory lands on the heap and where it's stored on the stack. So I don't understand what you mean with "behind the back". Also there's this RFC that should improve handling of allocation failures soon.
