Most readers would understand by "Postfix/Dovecot" that Postfix is the MTA in the equation, Dovecot is the IMAP server, that something like Roundcube is used for the webmail, and there are likely other pieces depending on the business needs. You know that, too. If you want to argue against a Postfix and Dovecot based stack, then please do so without comparing apples and applesauce.

Now readers see that the point is that there's no one-size-fits-all solution in the Linux/POSIX sphere. Frankly, there shouldn't be in the Wintel sphere, either. Windows users should be prepared to use hMailServer, MDAEMON, or BLAT.EXE if each would be the best tool for the job, instead of reaching for some one-size-fits-all choice.
