I am wondering what is a handy way to go about doing some maths. I am aware that vim has the expression register and can do simple addition/subtraction/multiplication but I am wondering for slightly more advanced usages, such as calculating average of many values and standard deviation. Am I better off just pasting it into excel, I notice there is some plugins such as this but wonder if vim is even the right tool for the job or if its something best left to specialised programs/shell scripting
