I'm not sure about this, but there might be a way to forward the player's UUID and skin to a Fabric or a Forge server that's behind Velocity (which is a feature I would greatly appreciate as not even SkinsRestorer supports forwarding this to fabric). Again, CraftAPI (the library that Mojang Resolver is part of) could be very useful when it comes to implementing this.
