Check syntax in Vim/Neovim asynchronously and fix files, with Language Server Protocol (LSP) support
You can read the discussion here. I personally could never make use of any of this as a nix user, but I hope if the community wants it, someone makes an lspinstaller plugin.
If you just want to immediately get started: minimal init.lua
I think I've figured out why nvim-lsp has such a reputation for being confusing to setup. Nvim LSP may be easy to configure ("just run this command and put this in your init.vim, easy!"), but the docs containing these snippets over at https://github.com/neovim/nvim-lspconfig are pretty poor. That repo is supposed to contain the default LSP settings for many languages, yet the README buries that pertinent information in a link at the very bottom of the document. No table of contents. The 'Usage' section makes no sense unless you already know how setup the LSP in the first place. Why? Both ALE and coc.nvim do it right by putting a link to the language-specific configs at the top of the README, with a prominent link in the table of contents.
