  • overseerr

Request management and media discovery tool for the Plex ecosystem

  • I have a suggestion, which would be for your front-end team to look at the work that the team at https://github.com/sct/overseerr/ have done in their app. They have incorporated genres, networks, studios, latest, most popular etc... into the front page. It really is amazing. To have something like this built into the Plex layout would really start to make it very user-friendly :)

  • python-plexlibrary

Create and maintain dynamic Plex libraries based on recipes.

  • I use https://github.com/adamgot/python-plexlibrary to manage my dynamic libraries which I can now feed into my homepage UI. EG: ‘Top Rated TV’ is referenced to my IMDB Top 250 library, and ‘Top Unplayed Movies’ to my ‘1001 Movies to watch before you die’ library, and ‘recently released movies’ to my movies trending library. It helps to make homepage recommendations more targeted and within my control... but you need more than 3 libraries to do it unfortunately, which w lot of folk don’t like, understandably.
