literal
Literal augments your online reading experience; capture annotations, sources, and knowledge.
I'm building [Literal](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.literal&hl=en&gl=US) which supports most of what you're after. You can see a short 1m video of how it works [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nH1ukQY3Ia8&t). It's free, [open source](https://github.com/literal-io/literal), doesn't recommend content, and supports data export via API. I'm not sure how Pocket exports data but Literal uses the [Web Annotation standard](https://www.w3.org/TR/annotation-model/) so it should "just work" with compatible tools.

The one ask you have that Literal doesn't yet support is read mode for sources (though it will automatically archive / backup sources). It looks like Chrome's read mode (i.e. the "Show simplified view" toolbar) is open source, so I think I could add support relatively quickly if you're interested.
