In our case (the Ecstasy language), we do not have a FFI, and that is a conscious and purposeful choice -- in fact, it's one of the primary motivating factors behind the design. (In a sense, the security model completely precludes an FFI, because there is no reachable "F". In reality, foreign interfaces can be injected, but that implies a custom language host doing the injection.)
