And I say hey, what's going on? (by hlissner)

  • Hello everyone! I switched to nixos from arch last week. I redid my config this week to use flakes and based my configs off of hlissner/dotfiles. My config has an api I really like where config.modules.dev.lang.rust.enable adds rust packages for development, rust extensions for my editors, and rust completion for zsh. My understanding is that doomemacs has a similar approach to language support (I've never used it, sorry if that's inaccurate).

    My NixOS config (by avnik)

  • I see. I have similar structure with hosts/modules/pkgs/classes/roles. I just though about switch to more structured approach (like hlissner's one, my looks a bit of ad-hocs). And also to mix it with "nixus" or "morph" (I used morph for couple hosts, but morph not use flakes). Mine is here https://github.com/avnik/nixos-configs/ -- but I haven't to push for a while (but you can get about a structure)
