Data privacy can seem like a losing battle, but the fight to take back control of your data is a worthwhile one, and it's certainly doable. It can seem daunting at first, but if you take things step by step, you should be able to find a good balance point according to your threat model. r/privacytoolsio and r/privacy are good subreddits, and Techlore and PrivacytoolsIO are two helpful resources I consult all the time. Good luck with your privacy journey.

Maybe using PiHole + a selection of these lists to block some of the telemetry? https://github.com/nickspaargaren/no-google
You dont necessarile need to buy a fairphone to have a custom rom. Hell you dont even need a custom rom. By uninstalling or blocking default apps, modifying privacy settings turning off features you get an acceptably private inviornment (for those people eho dont really care). If other people care enugh to learn basic program file text replacent, deleting or adding '#'s before package entries in the text learn how to use a live linux usb they can debloat with ADB by using this tool. If they reached a certain level by degoogling system wise by switching to newpipe, osmand and access their email from a broswer or from a pc they may even buy a Pixel phone perhaps at a fraction of the cost of the new android or apple flagships and flash graphene os on it. They wont suffer major inconvinience bacouse they will no longer need those services or functions that they would use otherwise or they found an alternative. As a final note i dont really trust roms like /e/ or iodé. The only 3 i trust is graphene, lineage and calyx. Librem phone and pinephones could be great but its really extreme and not cheap at all since they dont get money from data and other stuff like oems. So they arent for the regular user.
