We are working on supporting null safety. The issue is tracked here: https://github.com/Dropsource/monarch/issues/3
BTW, Storybook support flutter now: https://github.com/storybookjs/native
I hope it doesn't end up just one more incomplete storyboarding library, we already have storyboard, storybook_flutter, framy which uses CG, flutter_preview, and finally dashbook which has a great maintainer.
I ask as I love how [flutter_preview](https://github.com/jamesblasco/flutter_preview) integrates with vscode. It might be easily to do something similar, especially if the convention of have a `_stories.dart` file is followed.
We just published a samples project for Monarch: https://github.com/Dropsource/monarch_samples
