But for « intellisense » and completion you can use this https://github.com/neoclide/coc.nvim it works with rust-analyser so it executes a cargo check and fmt every time you save the file as well.
I also recommend you https://github.com/preservim/tagbar with https://ctags.io/ installed , it will map definitions (functions, enum, struct etc..) to tags and tagbar plugin allows you to open a split window with the mapped list and navigate through your file, it also enabled more advanced features for quick navigation .

You can get simple and working option is to install AstroNvim.
nvim-lspconfig should be pretty straight forward for Rust. This is from my own config, and it works like a charm.
