  • ublue

A familiar(ish) Ubuntu desktop for Fedora Silverblue.

  • This is exactly my experience. Besides a bug in BTRFS when it was first becoming more mainstream, all of the nasty crashes I've had were because I installed 1 too many "workarounds" or tried to customize something and didn't read the warnings thoroughly enough. Otherwise Ubuntu, Mint, Arch, and Endeavour OS were all rock solid for me, and I am running Ublue's spin of Fedora Silverblue now, so I always have at least 1 working snapshot to roll back to. The main thing is read and try to understand what you are typing. If you don't understand a command, look it up or read the man page for it before blindly running a command line (especially as root).
