full open source: True. But the goal of E2E encryption don't care the middle servers, anyone can't decrypt the message. Either way you can't validate if the server code from Signal is running the same code open source from GitHub. Look the signal server code https://github.com/signalapp/Signal-Server no update from almost 1 year, before they update with the PIN Cloud feature. How are you sure that the cloud feature is secure? Even if they release the code, you can't. Threema manage the encryption locally in your device.
