This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/macapps

Our great sponsors
  • SurveyJS - Open-Source JSON Form Builder to Create Dynamic Forms Right in Your App
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • fsnotes

    Notes manager for macOS/iOS

  • https://fsnot.es/ Free, OS ..

  • obsidian-git

Backup your Obsidian.md vault with git

  • I use Obsidian which gives me full ownership of my notes and works offline. With an open-source plugin, I sync my vault across multiple devices. If I choose so, I can edit my notes in other apps. I can encrypt them end-to-end if that's my choice.

  • SurveyJS

Open-Source JSON Form Builder to Create Dynamic Forms Right in Your App. With SurveyJS form UI libraries, you can build and style forms in a fully-integrated drag & drop form builder, render them in your JS app, and store form submission data in any backend, inc. PHP, ASP.NET Core, and Node.js.

  • sekund-plugin-react

  • Some alternative to Live Share: - Code with me, if you use JetBrains IDEs which have fantastic markdown support. I've used this and it works beautifully with multiple collaborators. - Zed, currently in beta and again, a code editor. But it has collaboration features similar to VSCode. Unfortunately, it requires you to create an account before you can start collaborating. - Sekund, an Obsidian plugin which requires an account for collaboration (haven't tested this)

  • CrossLine

CrossLine is an outliner with sophisticated cross-link capabilities in the tradition of the well-respected Ecco Pro

  • I use CrossLine (https://github.com/rochus-keller/CrossLine) for all my projects (some really big and complex) since 14 years, as a notebook for facts, minutes, results, action items and whatever unstructured information drops in during a project or daily life; I even use it for requirements management and specification development.

NOTE: The number of mentions on this list indicates mentions on common posts plus user suggested alternatives. Hence, a higher number means a more popular project.
