  • I recently had one of my pet projects (a CLI) that I'm actively developing during my free-time receive a decent amount of traction on Github. This is the first time any of my projects has gotten this sort of attention so I'm learning the ways on how to be a responsible open-source author and maintainer. With that said my project is currently stable and healthy at version 1.8.1 so now, with the benefit of hindsight, I want to make pretty significant changes and correct some bad decisions that I pigeon-holed myself into earlier in its development, however, I'm not really sure on how to go about it with regards to how best to communicate these changes to everyone.
