Many popular color schemes, such as TokyoNight, already have the new semantic highlight groups. So if you switch to one of those, you won't have any problems. I'm sure that soon, many other color schemes for neovim will also add those highlights. If you want to stick with a color scheme that doesn't support semantic highlighting for the moment, give this a try:
Am I correct to assume that hlargs.nvim is basically obsolete with semantic highlights?
